Dear Officers,
Our HOA values your presence in our community and appreciates your work both in Grand Isles and in our community at large.
Over the past 6 months in Grand Isles I am only aware of the following incidents. An unlocked vehicle was entered and ransacked in our Sausalito area, and another unlocked vehicle was entered around 2:00 am in our Harbor Cove area and ransacked. A camera across the street from a residence showed 3 young teens running from the scene. More recently, last week during the day an adult male was shown on video taking a bicycle from the front of a home in Carmel.
My point is we aren’t having much crime in the community. And that is great.
However, many, many residents are complaining of residents and possibly guests speeding at an estimated 40 and 50 miles per hour in our community. We are also receiving many complaints of running and not stopping at our stop signs. And then we also constantly have complaints of individuals parking illegally. They are blocking sidewalks, parking in front of fire hydrants, parking facing the wrong way in the streets and are parking in travel lanes by the rear gates and by the front gates near the traffic signal.
The Board of Directors is requesting your help. We are asking you to enforce the law to get people’s attention. We’d like you to report after each shift you work here of how many tickets you wrote on your paperwork to our property manager, Marty Wainer.
We think it is important for you to patrol our entire community throughout your shift as we think it is important for the residents to see your presence. Please don’t stay parked for long periods of time.
Thank you for your service.
Sincerely, Doug Stark
Grand Isles HOA
