Parking Survey — Part 2: Follow-up Questions

By in with 0 Comments

Grand Isles Neighbors,

Thank you again to everyone who participated in the recent community parking survey. The feedback highlighted several shared concerns while also showing that households experience parking in different ways.

Before the Board discusses potential next steps, we would like to ask a few brief follow-up questions to better understand resident priorities.

Specifically, we are seeking input in three areas:

  • When parking limitations occur, which concern has the greatest impact on your household?
  • When balancing parking access with safety and street clearance, which priority matters most to you?
  • Are there particular times or situations when parking challenges feel most significant?

Your responses will help the Board better understand how residents weigh these different considerations.

At the same time, the Board is continuing conversations with local code enforcement to ensure that any future steps remain aligned with county regulations. Alongside that process, the Board is also beginning to look at a few practical ways the community’s overall parking management approach could be improved, such as:

Clearer information about code enforcement
Occasional reminders about county parking rules and common violations so residents understand how enforcement may apply within the community.

Better awareness of existing parking options
Helping residents become more familiar with available parking areas within Grand Isles that may not always be fully utilized.

Reviewing areas where the HOA has flexibility
Looking at guidelines where the association has direct authority — such as guest parking — to see whether adjustments could better reflect resident feedback while remaining consistent with county regulations.

These ideas are still preliminary, and no decisions have been made. Input from this short follow-up survey will help inform the Board’s discussion as we continue gathering information.

The survey takes less than one minute to complete.

Please share your input here:  Parking Survey Follow-up Questions

The survey will remain open through midnight, Wednesday, March 11th.

After reviewing this additional input and completing discussions with code enforcement, the Board will prepare a final, homeowner-informed, recommendation.

We appreciate your continued engagement in this process.
